It may be a little early for some people to be thinking about Christmas, but not for the members of the Mothers of the Military chapter in Mountain Home. The support group for friends and family of serving military personnel wanted to send Christmas stockings, filled with goodies, to troops in Iraq. Ellwyn Howard Lampien, 87, formerly of Mountain Home, died Nov. 7, 2004, in Boise. Services will he held at Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise on T'hursday, Nov. 11. He was born Feb. 17, 1917 in Milwaukee, Wisc. He married Mary Leonard in 1940. A hard worker throughout his life, he worked in several factories, and spent many years in floor covering before becoming a small-business owner...

Karen S. Freckleton, 55, of Grand View, died at her home surrounded by family, on Nov. 6, 2004, after fighting a battle with cancer. Ruth Neely, 87, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, as the result of a weakened heart due to surgery following a fall.
