Council approves $5.3 million budget hike

Mountain Home's mayor and city council approved the tentative budget for FY05 and set a public hearing on the proposal for Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. in council chambers. Voters approve library bond

A solid turnout of 835 city residents cast 75 percent of their votes in favor of the $1.5 million library expansion bond Tuesday night, easily surpassing the two-thirds majority needed for approval of the measure.
