The Elmore County Fair is now underway, with most activities for the general public beginning today when the Royal West carnival opens this afternoon. The remaining fair days, through Saturday, also will feature the junior rodeo, an ICA rodeo, the crowning of the rodeo queen, and on the midway a hypnotist, cowboy poet Rudy Gonzales, Canadian country music singer Leah, mud bogs, bands and activities for the entire family...

Jennings Everett Dale "Jed" Griggs, 8, of King Hill, died July 15, 2003, in King Hill. Funeral services were held Saturday July 19, at Farnsworth Mortuary Chapel in Jerome. Interment followed in the Jerome cemetery. Jed was born Feb. 28, 1995, in Jerome, to Jimmy and Tira Arbaugh Griggs...

Wes and Jessica Macmillan announce the birth of a daughter. Madison Rose Macmillan was born July 7, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was 20 inches in length. Grandparents are Steve and Marsha Macmillan and Ed and Debora Montrose, all of Mountain Home, and Karen and Randy Macgreagor of Cripple Creek, Colo. Great-grandparents are Charles and Jackie Lucas of Grand View, Mary Macmillan and Hazel Sholl of England, and Larry and Barbara Crane of Mountain Home...
