From the Valdez files

I got this presser today and I just had to share it with the 3 People that read my blog. You will notice at the bottom it is signed by Bill "Valdez", I almost fell on the floor laughing to myself. I wonder if Capt. Joseph Hazelwood is steering the public affairs dept. They should know not to ask someone like me for an opinion!

I am going to carefully think about my response. At the moment, I see the clever technology that the warden from "Cool Hand Luke" used on his prisoners, looking at a bunch of BP executives in chains saying, "What we have here, is a failure to communicate!"

Here is a chance to speak your mind to the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. I think I am going to send them many responses.

As small business owners, you know that innovation comes from many sources. We need to tap into the spirit of American entrepreneurship to learn as much as possible. So far over 20,000 ideas have been sent to BP since the Gulf of Mexico incident from oil industry experts, small businesses, and everyday Americans.

The online form, entitled "Alternative Technology Response," collects detailed information about your idea, including the materials, equipment and resources required to put your idea into action. Your idea, once you fill out the form, will go to a team of 30 technical and operational BP personnel for evaluation
