Every now and then I actually make it through a book or two. Once I a while one changes the way I look at everything. I recently finished the Quants by Scott Patterson, it was about the electronic stock trading that controls most of the Wall Street money machine.

As more and more people decide to invest in these pieces of paper instead of their local economies this book seems even more important.

I now understand what credit default insurance is and what credit default swaps are all about. I know that investors are counting and betting on our demise. A failing economy is just part of the money making scam they perpetuate.

I learned of the excesses Wall Street executives enjoy at the suffering of Main Street USA.

I urge every one to read this book so they can understand what their investment money is being used for.

Perhaps it is time to invest in our local communities again.
