Dreaming of Mexico and Hot Weather Part IV
You might think I am dragging this report out until next spring, with all of the notes in my journal, it could happen. I am swamped at work but each time is set down and organize these pictures and notes, I get a mini vacation. I would never consider taking a vacation again without keeping a journal, it's the best way to preserve these moments. The best way to end a day on the road is to fill in another page.
We had a great time relaxing that night in our Hacienda, beer was involved. Breakfast the next morning was a little painful for some,

To my delight the road to Chinipas was on the GPS map, it was a real delight to ride.

The road was fast and fun. A few hours later we gathered at the lookout over the Chinipas river, it was time for some good photos.

7 years ago, this road consumed an entire day, it only took us a few hours this time.

My friends Pete and Mark look at a bike we discovered on that ride in 2000.

The newer bikes are great plus we are better riders now.

As we approached the river, Justin our guide, wanted us to go to the bridge crossing but I remembered an area up stream.

This is from the first trip through this area in 2000 with riding buddies from Austin Texas.
I just couldn't resist taking off across this old memory, it was very deep, then even deeper, finally I couldn't hear the exhaust. The bike was struggling for traction and finally died. I put my feet down in the water filling my boots, of course, hit the starter and off I went to the other side.
The Valdez didn't let me down. I rode around town a few minutes dripping water, then down to the crossing where every one else had gathered.
The stragglers crossed with ease, there were no spills. I told them about the other crossing, with a few shrugged shoulders they informed me that it meant nothing because they weren't there to get pictures.

Off to the hotel Centenario.

This was our least comfy hotel for the trip. There was no water and they let us even drive the bikes into the hotel for the night.
