My Hero, always
It doesn't matter the age of the kid, we always have a birthday party. The kid this time, is one of the biggest 'kids' around....my Dad. * My hero, the one I've looked up to all my life. That man has a Legacy of family that loves him so much. This was a small dinner, this year, as half the Mountain Homies was sick, and some just don't live here any more. Here at the table are Him, My Mom, Me, My nephew's wife Amy, Ardie (glaring at me for some unknown reason) Butch, and Wayne. Though there are not some at the table, they are there in Spirit and in our Hearts. And we talked about them, while they were gone!
Today's Menu was fashioned after Famous Dave's BBQ. It's one of Dad's favorites, so we tried to make it like that to a point, though I guess Famous Dave doesn't use paper plates or cups, we do do eliminate clean up!
Kaitlyn made both my Mom and Dad paper hats, so they obviously were Kind and Queen of the evening. Of course, they have no problem wearing these hats. If a kid makes you a hat, just simply wear it.
Ashlynn, Kaitlyn, Brennan, my nephew's children, came from Nevada to be with their Great Grandpa
For those that weren't there, we missed you, but it was an opportunity to talk behind your back! eheheh
