A Sunday With Grandkids
I kind of mentioned it before, but I'm confirming it now. I have sold my big bay horse. He is leaving here in the Spring. But he officially does not belong to me any more. He now belongs to a lady in Kansas, who's name is Katie. She assures me he will have a "forever" home, and that she is super excited to meet him in person. She's seen lots of photos of him, and of various grandchildren and Wayne and I riding him. And she was referred to me/him thru the clinician friend of ours from Arizona. He was a great credit to himself in the Idaho Falls Clinic, and Lee told me she would keep an eye out for someone for him. I wanted to sell him "away" from here. For me, they are kind of all for sale, but I don't necessarily want to see them being someone else's horse. I know he has a good home in his future, or Lee would never have connected him to them. I'm excited for him!
But, with that said, of course, we have to work on having another one of his type. His type is the horse that everyone can ride, and is special. We actually have several of them, heck, most of ours ARE that horse. But I have to have several for lesson horses, and selling Beamer means another has to start up the ladder. So, what to do on a Sunday Afternoon? Go look at some horses!
These are pretty in demand horses, and they belong to friends of ours. * Ohhhhhh the choices, the choices....... What to pick what to pick.... Horse Heaven*
See the little Blue Roan wayyyyy in the back? She's a top contender
We pile the kids in the back of a pick up and take a slow drive down the lane to look at some more
Apparently, the Paint belongs to Jick
This little Bay Roan is another very high prospect
This is horse trading business stuff, but fun is always being had with us..... and kids don't need to be told twice to be friends, though they've never met before.
The best play ground ever
Big smiles
Who wouldn't LOVE this for their back yard ?
Now the kids get to ride in the trailer..... best place for them
Idaho Country sides..... Love this
In come the horses to the corrals
And with a bit of trading, she comes home with us. * Another may come in the Spring.... just saying
She's getting acquainted with Sammy and Marshmallo
Fun times
