Amidst the Devastation
I am sharing the words written by Carolyn Hunt from yesterday. I LOVE this
The low paid cowboys that have been riding straight up for the last two daystrying to move mother cows and baby calves out of the path of the fires have my respect and admiration.. They are hot, tired and have blackened faces from the charred pastures and mountains they are riding through, trying to save livestock. Trailers keep arriving to bring a change of horses. These men and women are living the reality of the the true use for the horse. They have an appreciation for a partner that enables them to do a job that couldn't otherwise be accomplished.
None of them use excuses, they are riding steep country going after cattle to panicked to know to move out of a draw. They aren't quitting, they are Heroes in the true sense of the word.
Those of you that have Facebook, can see this video of my son's. It shows the above photo in action. It's only about a minute long, and shows how they care enough to do what's necessary to save the animals that need us.
