Happy Mother's Day Always
I'm hoping everyone had a great Mother's Day. And I"m also hoping that everyone remembers to honor their Moms all the time. Not just on the day called "Mother's Day"
Remember you wouldn't be here if it weren't for them!
We grilled of course ...here are two of my favorite men. * My son on the left, my husband on the right. * I absolutely love that they love one another. * But really, when two men ..or any people for that matter, are both of good morals and ethics, what's not to love? Both of these are hard working men, who love to spend time with their family. So, since I"m family, I get to see them both together a lot. With kids, and grandkids, this is the story of my life.
I don't know what they are talking about, but it's obviously a relaxed conversation between these two men. It could be just about the weather, which is obviously perfect for this Mother's Day, or about one or another child, or horses, trucks.... the list is limitless. *
While they are chatting and grilling, the kids will play. "Kids" can be of many ages.
My youngest goes to College in Lewiston (Dean's List, BTW) and wasn't going to be able to make it for this trip, but would be here in another week. Well, Sunday morning rolls along, and I'm lazy. I didn't get up til 8:30 and had suspicious feelings that someone was around. Joey had driven the night thru, and arrived right before I woke. It actually was probably his knocking on the door that woke me, though I didn't know it at the time. While waiting for me to wake, he went and fed the horses, and played with his Dog Scout. I was more than happy to see him! There he is below, playing with his nieces and nephews, who were so excited to see "Cool Uncle Joey" who torments them no end. Along with him, is his girl friend, who is from a large family also, is more than at home jumping into to play with the kids and go ahead and BE ONE of them. That's pretty perfect to me.
Time to get to eating that grilled food. Along with the burgers and dogs, we had some pretty spectacular side dishes. We are also a family who likes to cook! That is so much fun to get together and share our home cooking.
Lots of Moms in the above photos, and some day will be moms. But there are two that is what this gathering is really about. Without them, this entire group with not exist. I thank Heaven for them everyday.
Thank you Moms for all that you do.
