Elmore County Fair Monday AM

Monday morning is always the morning of "Showmanship"  .... this is the class that the kids have scrubbed and shined their horses, so show that they have the most beautiful horse in the county/country.  This is before they put a saddle on, which leaves saddle marks.  They paint their hooves, clip tiny hairs.... and use a dust cloth JUST before they enter the arena to show off their

Wonder Horses.

Horses have to trot alongside their handler, and         "set up" with a simple hand movement. 

  Young girl waiting her turn.  Her Mom hand makes her outfit.  Beautiful and very elaborate.
