Young Colt’s 1st Saddling
I haven't shared anything for awhile, so I thought I would share a little of what we're doing. As usual, it is always about Grandkids, Horses, and stuff like that. This first blog is about a young 2 yr old colt that is having his first saddling, and not lovin' it real well. Though next year, you'll be seeing him doing all kinds of stuff!
We're calling him "Jax" for now, and he loves to be pet and handled. He'll come along just fine.
Wayne rinses him off at the end of the ride.
And a visit from a friend, Mike!
That was the first saddling. Alot of times, that is not as exciting as the next one. So, here's the next one..
heehee
This is the time that he pretty much just 'blows up'
If you look at his face/mouth, you can tell he is bawling and grunting...
The Palomino filly was saddled exactly the same days/ways. She is much more OK with things. She has now been ridden a total of 4 times, and she's gone to a "4-H Working Ranch Horse" meeting as Wayne's horse for the evening. It's exciting to see how easily they adapt to things.
