I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Same is one of the puppies that our Border Collie had in May. Originally, Lee (his sister) was to be mine. But she has gone on to greener pastures, and I have taken Sam from Wayne.

Rufus used to come to work with me from time to time, and he enjoyed the peaceful days. Where I work, it doesn't hurt for me to have the appearance of a "Guard Dog".

I was not about to let Rufus see me taking another dog .... even though many days he didn't feel like coming. I would never have wanted him to feel like I was replacing him in my heart. Sam is only 7 months old or so, so it was OK not to take him around too much. His job will be working cows, but I want him to be a well rounded cowboy, so he gets to have a 'real job' with me too!

Sam has been introduced to my work, and though he's pretty bored, he is adapting. He has his own room, and had leftover turkey for lunch today. I think he has no complaints over that!

Very cute! Enjoy him. It will be good for him to be a well rounded "cowboy". The more experience with the cows the better. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Thanks T! We've had him out around sheep and goats, and it's amazing how a 'good one' is just good. He gathers and keeps them all together,...wayyyyyyyyyy before we ever gave a command! It was cool!

A dog that looked just like him came into our yard the other day. I had never seen him before so don't know if he was a lost dog...

It wasn't him MsMarylin.... unless you are living right exactly next door to me, ( I guess he could have done that for a split second ) He is kenneled during the day, and then in the yard for play.

But basically, most Border Collies look very similar.

He is a good boy! Being at work with me for 2 days was about his 4th time in a house. He was pretty nervous at first! But he figured out he was getting lots of attention, and what puppy doesn't like that?!

Enjoy him Jess. You have had a tough year (with respect to dogs/pups). Those working cow dogs just get better with age. How fun. I am sure time at work, with you, has been good for him as well. Please keep us updated.

Thanks T, yes, most do get better with age. A good friend told me recently for my birthday
