UPDATE: Charges amended against local dentist

Local dentist Dr. John Goodrich was released from custody Tuesday afternoon following his arrest last week on three felony charges. Goodrich, 57, was initially charged with rape, incest and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16. -

Thomas Lee Russ Jr., age 93 of Mountain Home, passed away at the VA Medical Center/Nursing Home in Boise on Sept. 3, 2016. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial with full military honors followed at Mountain View Cemetery. -

Alfred "Fred" Svetkovich, 70, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at his home peacefully in his sleep. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Arlene; his son, Steven and his wife, Bobbie; his brothers, Steve, Phillip, and Donnie; his sisters, Carolyn and Patty; one grandchild, Christiana; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and close friends.
