The Mountain Home Tigers open the 2012-13 wrestling season this week with two duals and a tournament. Tiger wrestling coach Lynn Knudson talked about this year's turnout for wrestling. "We had 37 kids total, and three of our state qualifiers returning, including Aerial Groene, who placed fourth at the state tournament last year, so overall, it's a pretty good turnout."...

Jamie Springer, a representative with the local Alliance Title company, joins Vincent Borg to unload 1,040 pounds of food during a delivery to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul food bank on Monday. Over the past month, the title company collected 2,880 pounds of canned and non-perishable food items as part of this year's "Closing the Hunger Gap" effort...

The season of giving will take on a new meaning later this week as the Rotary Club of Elmore County hosts its 3rd Annual Mountain Home Festival of Trees.
