UPDATE: Base homes to begin transfer to Nevada tribe (Local News ~ 12/15/11)
Fifteen housing units at Mountain Home Air Force Base will begin their trek across the state Friday as part of a federal program aimed at helping a tribe in eastern Nevada. After leaving the base, oversized trailers carrying these housing units will travel on Highway 51 and use Airbase Road and Highway 30 to reach the interstate at the Exit 99 onramp, according to Reed Henderson from the state transportation department. -
