Registration for the fall semester of the Mountain Home School District is continuing this week, with school scheduled to start Aug. 17. Registration will be held at the schools. Elementary schools began registration Friday. Anyone who missed registering their child in grades K-4 can still do so by stopping by the schools during regular hours -- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m...

All participants in high school activity programs must have an activity card, and all athletes in grades 7-12 must have a physical on file with the school district. Sports physicals will be offered on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 3-8 p.m. at the Mountain Home High School gymnasium...

To summarize, the feds at the Seattle Civil Rights Office have decided that many Idaho schools, including Mountain Home, are not meeting their quotas for participation in sports by female athletes. They may dress this up with fancy government Bureaucrat Speak (aka "Gov't BS"), but we all know it is a quota program...

Final plans are coming together for the 51st annual Air Force Appreciation Day in Mountain Home.
