A major deployment from Mountain Home Air Force Base took place on Monday that sent approximately 250 airmen to various bases in the Persian Gulf area of Southwest Asia. Another 50 airmen departed from Boise International Airport on Sunday. The personnel from four different squadrons are part of a larger group of nearly 1,100 "Gunfighters" that have been deploying since late last year in support of the Global War on Terrorism...

The new Marathon Cheese plant in Mountain Home will begin operation this week when the first shipment of cheese from Oregon arrives. By the end of next week the first of the plant's production lines will be up and running, initially packaging cheese for the Tillamook product line...
