Donald Eugene Rusler, 76, of Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Moutain Home, died Sept. 1, 2004 in Tacoma, at his daughter Sharon's home. Memorial services will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington, Wash., on Nov. 19 at 2:30 p.m. Rusler was born May 10, 1928, in Everett, Wash., to Beryl Lesile and John D. Margaret J. Harris, 87, of Walla Walla, Wash., formerly of Grand View, died Nov. 12, 2004, at the Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla. Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Grand View, with Pastor John Curtis of the Bethel Nazarene Church in Nampa officiating. Theo Larry Pettingill, 71, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Mountain Home, died Nov. 9, 2004, at his home, of cancer. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Floyd Lee Pope, 72, of Springdale, Wash., formerly of Grand View, died Nov. 7, 2004, at his Springdale home. Margaret "Peggy" Mitchell Fritz, 73, of Mountain Home died peacefully in her sleep at her home Nov. 7, 2004. At her request there will be no services. Although she had health problems -- Glaucoma, Kidney Disease and Alzhiemers -- she remained cheerful through it all, her family said, noting that "Peggy always had a twinkle in her smile."...

There are a lot of new faces among the ranks of the Southern Idaho Conference 4A girls basketball teams. In fact, of the eight teams (Skyview and Nampa move down from 5A), four have new coaches this year. With that posing a bit of an unknown, some of the coaches were hesitant to try and pick this year's finish, but, with seven of the eight coaches taking part in the voting, there appears to be a top half, and a bottom half of the conference...
