A Rimfire Kind Of Day
It's about 0850 as I write this, a beautiful Monday morning, and no way to tell how many of them left until winter sets in.
The weekend ordeal to California is over, I've pretty much caught up on my sleep, and I have but ONE short errand to attend to this morning, which will take no longer than a minute or two.
There is no breeze out there to speak of, so I think I'll shake off a little built-up aggravation today. After a cup of coffee, the old Bazookaman here is gonna grab a 22, and go out into the sagebrush for awhile.
I've always found that to be relaxing as well as therapuetic? (I don't know if I spelled that right, don't care and ain't takin' the time to look it up!)
Just kickin' around with a little 22 suits me, right now. All the BIG stuff is home in the safe. They're all sighted-in anyway, so there'e no need burning up any stockpiled ammo that Obama and Biden will be looking to ban.
Speaking of which, a friend of mine who works at WalMart, told me that while I was gone these last few days, some guy walked in there and bought $300.00 with of ammo. Better late than never I guess, and ammunition is still reasonably priced at "Wally."
I've dry-storaged ammo for all the calibers I shoot, for about 15 years now, slowly and steadily because I've known these times would come.
How? No rocket science, really. I've just observed how people talk, how they vote, what they've been willing to "rationalize to themselves", what people seem to be willing to accept in incriments.........I've seen it coming.
I'm ready, and I'm pretty sure I'm in good company out there. So, the big stuff is tucked safely away.
22's are cheap. You can shoot them all day without putting any serious dents in your wallet, and they provide more than adequate shooting to allow you to keep your "edge."
So with that, I'm gonna knock off a quick shower and take my little bolt action out. I have two 22 rifles, a bolt action and a semi-auto. The bolt action is scoped and a little more accurate, so a quick splash of gas in my old Bug, and a cup of java to go,...........and............have a good day y'all!
