Proof's in the Paper
Told ya so!............you thought I was just trying to be dramatic, eh?
I've mentioned TIME AND AGAIN about our "left wing media"
If you don't subscribe to the Statesman, buy or borrow TODAY's issue (Tuesday Sept 30). Within the 2nd section "NationWorld" is the Letters to the Editor section.
They finally printed a letter I sent about three weeks ago, but it is SURROUNDED in a sea of lib letters. It's usally one-sided, but today, MINE was the ONLY "right" letter they printed.
At this point, someone like ExIntern or KimJean might chime in with something like "Well, you might have been the only Republican who wrote in."
In a PREDOMINANTLY "Red" state? I think not. Our side is as vocal as theirs, and we outnumber them in Idaho by numbers too vast, to see such one-sidedness in a public opinion section.
Any of you out there remember I letter I wrote to the Statesman about the "invasion of Californians? I thought I'd NEVER hear the end of that in the Statesman. I got hammered for almost a week................but mysteriously, NO letters of support.
I called "Richert's Raiders" up there and was told that nobody sent any letters backing me on that.
Give me a break! Idaho is LOADED WITH people who HEAVILY resent being crowded out of existence, seeing their taxes go up along with the cost of everything else, because of the population influx............
.............."And NO one wrote on my behalf?" says I?
"No, we didn't hear from anyone else but YOU on this, and we ALWAYS print BOTH SIDES of issues."
I've always thought the Statesman was trash. It only comes to the house because my wife subscribes to it, in an attempt to find out "what's going on in the world."
To be honest, I don't mind it, because I read the classifieds and enjoy doing the crossword puzzles. Once in awhile they might even have a funny cartoon, so I guess the Idaho Statesman isn't a COMPLETE waste of time.
But politically, they've ALWAYS been one-sided, and today it was so obvious, I had to call it to your attention. Buy or borrow a copy of today's rag and check out the "letters to the editor" column. Look at past and FUTURE issues, and it'll still be lop-sided, even in a "RED" state.
I saw the liberal Kevin Richert on Channel 7 News the other night, (I think it was Channel 7), and he was telling the anchor that the Statesman hasn't yet endorsed a Presidential candidate.
When they DO................anyone care to guess who that candidate's gonna BE? But they ARE "fair and impartial," you know. Yeah they are.........and I owned and drove a Studebaker for 3 years and never had to put any gas in it.
