The Great Masquerade
As the Presidential elections loom, there is a sense of well founded urgency among the gun owners of America. While not all Democrats want to disarm the country, it IS and has always been part of their party's platform.
"Control" is one of those "masquerade" words they use, when CONFISCATION is actually what they want.....until later, when their homes are broken into by the only "armed citizens" left, the hoods.
They speak of registration and "gunshow loopholes." Anyone who has any gun experience at all, knows you do NOT just walk into a gunshop or gunshow, plunk down your money and walk out with a pistol or rifle.
You not only fill out paperwork which becomes part of record-keeping, but you wait until you are cleared by the Feds n D.C. If the immediate phone call doesn't clear within the first few minutes, you are DELAYED until the 3 working days go by. If you aren't considered a criminal by then, you can have your gun, which is now AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED.
And three days is more than ample. When a cop stops you, and runs your plates on the radio, they report back to him in MINUTES if you're wanted for something.........the technology is there.
But a lot of these idiot liberals think you can just walk right on in and buy a gun. The only way you can do that is from a private party, which will become more frequent now as November approaches. Most owners don't mind the background check or waiting period. It's the RECORD KEEPING that makes everyone uneasy. Until you start robbing banks and Circle K's, it shouldn't be anyone's business what you own, especially "Big Brother's"
Fear ANY government that fears your means to resist.
Which brings us to the next "masquerade," the so-called "assault rifle." This "foot in the door" got started during Slick Willie's reign. Knowing any attempt for all out confiscation might well spark the revolt we've needed to have anyway, they only targeted guns like the AK-47, AR-15 and the like......with chapters 2,3 and 4 to follow somewhere down the road.
Most "rational" people would support THAT much.....you don't really need an "assault rifle" to hunt deer, do you?
If you're reading this, you have a computer. Look up H.R. 1022, proposed and sponsored by Democrats, and look what "assault weapons" is being defined as now. Before long, your old 30-30 Winchester lever action will be classified as such, and you know....your grandpa's old 12 gauge single shot? One just like it was used to "assault" some grocery store clerk back in Ohio somewhere, so we'd better get IT on that list too.
Ted Kennedy and John ("I am a hunter") Kerry, introduced bills banning popular caliber ammo like the 30.06 and 270, to name a few. Those ballistics, it seems, might well penetrate a cop's vest, so your faithful old deer/elk loads are now "cop-killer bullets." But to be fair now, Uncle Teddy didn't call for a ban on the rifles.....just the ammo, and that's DIFFERENT!
Following suit, two more prominent democrat Senators, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein tried to get a ban on handguns............not ALL handguns of course, just those with a capacity of more than 5 rounds! That's certainly reasonable! They wouldn't come after your TWO-shot derringer until NEXT year. Hey!.....Remember Paladin in the old Have Gun Will Travel series? On several occasions, he "assaulted" the bad guys with his little derringer that was hidden under his gunbelt. Yep.....technically an assault weapon!
A little bit at a time. That's how they originally planned it, so that it might even go by without much fanfare. But with a Congressional majority and either Hillary, Obama or McCain in the White House, the opportunity will never be better for these fools to finish dismantling the Constitution (which they've already started), and push through every age-old agenda, while they have the votes to do it, and no President to veto any of it.
The government liberals don't want our "assault weapons," they want them ALL. The AK's are only a start.
If you are "one of us," meaning, a free American who intends to remain one, do not be taken in by this continuing "masquerade" which will surely step up a notch next year. Gun prices are rising and will probably reach panic proportions before Inauguration Day, so if you've been meaning to get one and haven't yet, I wouldn't wait too long. DEFINITELY consider "private party," as cash doesn't have your name on it.
"AHAH!!!Gotcha Bazookaman! This is how the bad guys get them, and things happen like they did at Virginia Tech!!"
It may shock a few of you to know that "HOODS" have stolen them from police armories!.....That's a fact! Bad guys will always get guns, and until we start frying these vermin in the "chair" by the bushels, it isn't going to stop.
As for Virginia Tech, thirty two were victims, because no one on campus was licensed or ALLOWED to carry. The nut KNEW the only gun on campus would be HIS. Easy pickings, and "15 minutes in the sun."
We need to make sure WE aren't the next victims. Victims of hoods, foreign invaders or our own government. I was reminded once, by a well-meaning soul that God would have us to beat our swords into plowshares, which means "guns" today. My reply to him was:
Those who beat their guns into plowshares, will plow for those who didn't...........and we've seen this too often in history, and REPEATEDLY in the 20th century.
And it continues today. Are we next? Not if I can help it. There are 4 basic steps that make up tyranny:
Registration
Confiscation
Incarceration
Extermination
It's happened.......and it's happened....and it's happened. But it's not gonna happen to me.
Not without some "discussion" anyway! The world we live in is made up of sheep and wolves. The sheep go to slaughter, the wolves where they wish.
And finally...........if you're looking to buy something for "survival", make sure it's in a caliber where ammo is fairly easy to obtain. A small general store in a rural town probably doesn't stock 7x61 Sharpe & Hart, but it's a pretty good bet they'll have a box or two of 30.06. Same rule with pistols. Any survival pack should also include a 22 of some kind. Ammo is cheap, they don't make a lot of noise, and will provide a lot of rabbit over a campfire.
