That it Wasn't in Vain

We might have to do this one in parts, but it's vital enough to warrant that.

Our founding fathers drew up our Constitution and Bill of Rights, having just thrown OFF an oppresive government, sending the pompous ones in their pretty red coats back to jolly old England.

Franklin, Hancock and company knew all too well what it took to secure our freedom, and because of that, they also knew what would be required to keep it. They didn't trust government.....not even the one they were creating....and they didn't want YOU and I to trust it either, so they drew up the safeguards that would keep our government in check, "of the people, by the people and FOR the people."

But over the last few decades, the "people" have become complacent. We just assume they know what they're doing back there, so until it sneaks up and bites us, we pay little attention anymore and just "accept what comes."

We gripe and moan, but vote the same clowns back in, then gripe and moan some more. It's become the American way, God help us.

NOW....it is getting ready to bite. With the Dems (and I include McCain on this one) coming to complete power next year, the time will never be better than to launch on all-out assault on our gun rights........an old, old left wing solution for the "crime problem." Lots of bills awaiting the Congress in this area, and with no threat of any Presidential veto next year............and they almost certainly HAVE to strike now, in case they're voted back out next time around........."make good the old agendas while the opportunity is there."

We're still not going to prosecute criminals....because they have rights, you know. It's easier to just disarm the honest and do away with the 2nd Amendment altogether..........or so they think!

The 2nd Amendment HAS to be eliminated, if an eventual dictatorship is ever to happen, and the United Nations is pushing hard for that, enroute to their "One World Order" agenda. Gun confiscation however, is just one of their many plans for us, should they ever seize control, and just one of MANY reasons we need to get OUT of the U.N., and boot them OUT of our country! The 2nd Amendment is the most important one we have............not because it's "Bazookaman's" favorite issue.......but because of its uniqueness.

The 2nd Amendment is unique because it is the only one that can GUARENTEE we'll always have the rest of them. Stop right here...........think about that a minute before you read any further......it is the ONLY one that can guarentee that.

It has become fashionable for bureaucrats to "re-define" what our founding fathers actually "meant." Let's look at it a moment..

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

"MILITIA" is NOT the National Guard, no matter how badly in their heart of hearts the liberals want it to be. There WAS NO National Guard when it was written, and when you go back to that period of time, we find the founders THEMSELVES defining "militia" as all able bodied men over the age of 17, capable of dropping their plows and picking up arms in chaotic times."................period.

These were the MINUTEMEN. Not the Idaho National Guard or the Marine Corps Reserve. It means YOU....and ME.

Webster's Collegiate dictionary defines the word "infringe" as to impair, violate, fail to observe the terms of, encroach or trespass upon............"shall NOT be infringed."............"shall NOT be infringed"........shall NOT be infringed." Our founders were quite clear on that. Anyone thinking that isn't really what they meant, please chime in so we too, will ALL know. So I'll simply ask my liberal friends out there.....what part of "shall NOT be infringed" don't you understand?

Incidently, nowhere in the 2nd Amendment does it say "with the exception of"...so this business of just banning certain selected weapons is unconstitutional as well. All that is, is a foot in the door.

Over the past 100 years, we've seen genocide in Europe, Africa, Asia and a dozen other places and in every case, their government was in total control. You must remember that "Gun Control" isn't about guns........it's about control. For many, the thought of being "king" would be too tantilizing to pass up.

For the record, genocide has NEVER taken place in ANY country where its citizens were armed..............you can't push people around who can push back.

Also.....for the record. every anti-gun bill in Congress, spearheaded by HR 1022, is sponsored by a Democrat.......don't get mad now if you're a "lefty".......it's a FACT. Look it up. Even with our borders WIDE OPEN for invasion, virtually unenforced with even some of the Guard Units in Iraq (unconstitutional as well).

With America open to God only knows what.......they STILL want OUR guns. Somehow, that's gonna make the streets safer. If you've noticed, that's an issue that hasn't been talked about by ANY of the 3 frontrunners.

Yeah...yeah...yeah.....I know..........that could never happen here.

Neither did 9/11.

And.......as the Canadians, Australians and British have found, once you surrender them, you'll never get them back, and the crime rate will skyrocket! How???....oh, didn't I mention?...the hoods (you know, the bad guys who make their living breaking the laws)........well, they didn't adhere to THIS one either, and didn't turn theirs IN like you did.

Not to worry.........."Big Brother" is only a phone call away and the cops might even be on their way from across town, while you're being beaten and robbed. Why the heck do you need a gun?
