Lawrence John Heinen, Beloved husband, father, papa, great papa, and great-great papa, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024. Larry was born on Feb 25th, 1942 in Sexton, Iowa. Larry was born into a family of nine children. A bit of a black sheep; Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force and set out to see the world. After 26 years of service, Larry decided to call it quits and retire to a more humble setting. Of course, this didn't last long, and the next 20 years found him bouncing around the United States in search of “whatever.” He eventually settled in Mountain Home, Idaho and fulfilled his dream of having a gun business. Larry spent time as a Deputy Sheriff in Mountain Home, Idaho. There he continued and impacted many lives. Larry was loved and respected by all he came into contact with. Many will remember his words of wisdom, his jokes (not so good) and his advice of “invest in silver.” The Heinen household was always very loud at Holidays. That won't change. Many special memories were made and wonderful stories told, as he gathered family and friends around the table. Larry was a man of many hats but a cowboy at heart. Larry's brightest and most treasured accomplishments were his family. Especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kay. His son; David and his wife Kimberly. Three grand children; Krystal, Michael, Megan, and their spouses. Four great grandchildren; Clayton, Kirstin, Greyson, and Lucas. As well as a great-great grandchild Oliver. Larry had a sparkle in his eyes that drew people to him. His family and friends will miss him, and remember him always. Rest in Peace.
