John Cruz Garcia
John Cruz Garcia, 72, passed away September 3rd 2024, at his home in Mountain Home, ID with his wife and son at his side.
John was born on September 28th, 1951, in Eagle Pass Texas to Juan and Berta Garcia. He grew up in Lubbock Texas along with his three sisters.
John’s family were migrant workers who traveled from Texas, Idaho, and California. While in Mountain Home, ID he met the love of his life Josie Donez. John and Josie were married in March of 1973 and made this their permanent home. They had one son and two daughters.
John loved Tejano and oldies music as well as dancing. Other hobbies he enjoyed were going to Jackpot, fishing, road trips, watching old western movies, and watching WWE. His greatest joy in life were his children and especially his grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic and served as a Knights of Columbus for many years. Family and friends who were blessed to know him will never forget his humor, and sense of sarcasm (although brutal at times).

His sisters: Grace and her husband Juan Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Irma and her husband John Olguin of Albuquerque NM; Delma and her late husband Jose Rios of New Braunsfel, Texas.
