Local art agencies receive state grants

The Idaho Commission on the Arts provided the Historic Opera Theater in Glenns Ferry nearly $2,800 to support its programs. Theater officials plan to use some of this grant money to provide people from rural communities a chance to take part in its live theater programs.

The Mountain Home Arts Council and the Historic Opera Theatre in Glenns Ferry received more than $6,000 in financial support from the Idaho Commission on the Arts through its annual grant program.

In a press release July 17, the state art commission announced plans to provide $3,316 to the Mountain Home Arts Council through its public programs in the arts grant avenue with the opera theater selected to receive $2,791 through the state’s entry track grants and public programs in the arts initiative.
