City police program earns state honors

The debut of a program headed by the Mountain Home Police Department to bridge the lines of communication between local law enforcement officers and surrounding community earned recognition during a state-level conference held last month.

City leaders and local law enforcement officials gathered at the Boise Centre to officially receive the 2024 Garrett Nancolas City Achievement Award in Public Safety in recognition of the city police department’s outreach efforts with citizens in Mountain Home.
