Drug bust in Elmore

On February 19th, 2024, the Elmore County Sheriffs Office arrested two subjects for drug trafficking.

An Elmore County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on I-84 near mile post 95. During the traffic stop, the Deputy deployed their Narcotics K9 around the outside of the vehicle. The K9 indicated to the odor of controlled substances. Upon a search of the vehicle, Sheriff’s Deputies located approximately 40 pounds of suspected Cocaine in a hidden compartment within the vehicle. Deputies also recovered two firearms.

The Elmore County Sheriffs Office would like to remind its citizens that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This is an ongoing investigation; no further information will be released at this time.
