MOUNTAIN HOME, ID – A bilingual (English-Spanish) informational mental health resource guide is now available in Elmore County. St. Luke’s Community Health and Engagement and Elmore Foundation have partnered to fund and develop “Help is Here!”, a bilingual suicide prevention, emotional and mental health support resource guide for folks in Elmore County.
Like many illnesses, prevention and early intervention can reduce the impact of mental health conditions. Mental illness can be acute or chronic, long or short term, and can vary in cause, symptoms and intensity. Stigma and shame are among the main reasons people don’t seek treatment for their mental illness.
The “Help is Here” guide aims to help reduce the stigma that often accompanies mental health that may prevent someone from seeking help.
