Audrey Lee Rhodes

Audrey Lee Rhodes of Mountain Home, Idaho passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 13, 2023 at the age of 81.

Audrey was born on June 29, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Her father passed away in his late 20s which left Audrey and her 2 sisters and 3 brothers to be raised by her mother, Mabel, who like Audrey, was described as a very kind woman. Audrey developed a strong work ethic at a young age, but in her free time you could find her roller skating and dancing.

Audrey worked in the restaurant business for over 30 years, spending the majority of her career at the El Rancho and Joe’s Club in Mountain Home. She was known for her smile that could light up a room and she loved taking care of people. Outside of work she enjoyed soaking up the sun, maintaining a beautiful yard, feeding her hummingbirds homemade nectar and most of all having a beer with her friends.

As many know, she had a love for Christmas and Santa Claus, but the decor did not stop with just Christmas…she decorated a tree for every holiday. Audrey’s love for her little dog, Bella, trumped it all. She was her best friend and companion who laid by her side until the very end.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Shannan Bate of Mountain Home and her son, Richard Cunningham of Washington. She also had 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Audrey was a Mountain Home icon with a beautiful heart and soul. She will be missed.

Audrey’s family invites you to celebrate her life on October 1, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Elk’s Lodge in Mountain Home, Idaho.
