Reader not impressed with COLA increase

Are you impressed with your 1.3 COLA increase for 2021? This is the lowest COLA increase since 1975. Does this scaled-down increase seem fair and reasonable to keep up with the cost of living? Of course not. So, let me be clear; many congress members are guilty of absence of intelligence and common sense. This 1.3 percent is not only parsimonious, but a slap in the face to millions of hardworking Americans who paid into the Social Security insurance system for decades. For many, this is their sole income. Politicians do not live in the real world, Their lifestyles, perks and salaries are paid by tax payers.

I firmly believe these left-wing politicians are simply riff-raft, and we should execute dismissal of incompetent ‘swamp creatures’ running our government entities!
