City Council meets with NA and discusses White Knuckle Racing’s lease
The Mountain Home City Council met on Nov. 13, 2019 for a regularly scheduled meeting.
The meeting began with a public hearing for members of the community to address changes to Parks and Recreation's leasing fees. No one in the audience wished to speak on the matter so the hearing was quickly closed.
Elmore County Sheriff Mike Hollinshead was present at the meeting to present Certificates of Appreciation to two members of the Mountain Home Police Department.
On Oct. 15, a high speed chase saw multiple law enforcement agencies work together to pursue an individual who had multiple warrants and was believed to be involved in a kidnapping in Nevada. At one point in time, the individual was driving at high speeds on the roads of Mountain Home before quickly returning to the interstate. During his presentation, Sheriff Hollinshead said that MHPD Officer Josh Martinez had gone above and beyond the call of duty by his willingness to work with the Elmore County Sheriff's Office by continuing the pursuit on I-84, giving County Officers and Idaho State Police Troopers a chance to catch up and take over.
