Leola Marie Berry
Leola Marie Berry, 97, of Boise, passed away in a Boise nursing home, on February 12, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on February 21, 2019 at the Bruneau Cemetery, in Bruneau. Bryon Fesler with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Leola was born the daughter of Nellie and Victor Brooks in Boise, and raised in the Idaho City area. She graduated from Boise High School and attended the Seventh-Day Adventist Academy. She married Chuck Berry and they had four children.
Leola was a kind, caring and loving person. Helping others came easy for her. If you needed a shoulder to cry on or a hand to hold, Leola was the one you went to. Her door was always open. She loved western movies, especially John Wayne and never tired of watching them again and again.
Leola is survived by her daughters Vicki (Dick) Mitchell, Ilona Rowan and Charlene Perkins (Perk), 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck, son Tom Berry, and great-grandson Joshua Brock.
Per Leola's wishes, please no flowers. Instead, she wanted donations to go the Idaho Humane Society.
