City seeks resident input

The City of Mountain Home is preparing to draft its new Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of this 10-year plan is to provide a set of guidelines that the City will use to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of its residents and in the outlying areas that are impacted by its decisions. Topics covered may include economic development, community design, revitalization, housing development, population growth, use and preservation of natural resources, and public services, among others. The City will be announcing the release of a detailed survey Feb. 25 that will ask for input on all topics covered. Citizen input is critical to better understanding views of community needs and perceived priorities. We encourage all voting-age residents to capitalize on this opportunity to help steer Mountain Home toward the future they want for their children and grandchildren.
