Lorraine Beach Foster
Foster, Lorraine Beach, 88, of Boise, passed away on September 8, 2018 at home surrounded by many nieces and nephews. A graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home, with Pastor Tomm Lemon. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. 208-587-0612.
Lorraine was born in Mountain Home, Idaho on September 24, 1929, to James W. and Hattie Claudis Beach. She graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1947 and was Salutatorian of her graduating class. She married the love of her life, Zeph Hayward Foster in 1950 in College Place, Washington. She graduated from the University of Idaho in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and from Colorado State College with a Master of Arts in Education in 1960. She taught school, elementary through university and thoroughly loved the classroom. She thought any other profession paled when compared to the joys of teaching and watching students learn. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and has been a faithful follower of God through the years, and is now resting in His promise of eternal life.
Lorraine leaves to mourn her passing: her beloved sister, Carolyn (Don) Kubitschek of Mountain Home, Idaho, sister-in-law Barbara Beach and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who were very, very special to her: James W. (Sarah) Beach of San Francisco, California; Katherine E. Beach of Brooklyn, New York; Nicole L. (Mark) Berry of Mountain Home, Idaho; Kelly C. (Nicholas) Fletcher of Boise, Idaho; R. Tyler (Lindsay) Beach of Boise, Idaho; Davin M. (Olga) Gaines of Pendleton, Oregon; Scott G. (Daena) Gaines of Pendleton, Oregon; Nichole H. (Patrick) McLendon of Cheney, Washington; Angela H. (Todd) Lowman of Eagle, Idaho; Kristin (Joshua) Darling of Southwick, Massachusetts; Aaron T. (Melissa) Hofer of Eagle, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Zeph Hayward Foster, her parents: James W. & Hattie Beach; siblings, Harold J. Beach & Deloris M. Munsey; nieces & nephews, Deborah Ann Hofer, Marcia L Munsey, Merlin C. Munsey, and great-niece Charmaine Beach.
