Brent A. Richter
Brent A. Richter, MSgt (ret), 54, of Mountain Home, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at home. He was born December 18, 1963 in Barnesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Roy E. Bryant. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Mary B. Richter; his mother, Lilly M. Bryant of Crestview, Florida; his father and stepmother, Dale and Delores Richter, of Wheeling, West Virginia; brother, Steven L. Richter of Oregonia, Ohio; sisters, Kimberly S. Pittman (Joe Paquette), Dayton, Ohio; Janice M. Jones (Robert N. Jones) of San Antonio, Texas and Shana Bryant of Crestview, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Brent graduated from Xenia High School in Xenia, Ohio in 1981, and immediately joined the Air Force where he spent 20 years on active duty, serving in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, defending our country. During his active duty time, he served two tours in England where he met and fell in love with his bride. He was also stationed at England AFB, Louisiana and Mountain Home AFB, where he found serenity in the mountains and the beautiful countryside. He and Mary knew this was where they wanted to spend the rest of their lives and Brent retired there in June 2001. While still on active duty, Brent worked part time for Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) at the Mountain Home AFB Skeet Range. After retiring from active duty, he worked with civil service supporting the Air Force Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR) Program. He retired completely in 2013. Anyone who knew Brent knows how much he loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, 4-wheeling and spending time with friends. His family and friends will greatly miss him and will remember the infectious humor, big heart and generosity that was so much a part of him.
A private family service was held on June 15, 2018. A memorial service will be held in Mountain Home, in the near future. Donations may be made to a charity or foundation of your choice in his memory.
