Mountain Home City Council and WECRD meet to discuss joint issues
The Mountain Home City Council and the Western Elmore County Recreation District held a special joint meeting on the evening of Feb. 19 to discuss matters pertaining to Railroad Park and the Minor League Dugouts at East Side Park.
Last November WECRD purchased Railroad Park from Union Pacific Railroad. Traditionally the park has been an integral part of community events and has been maintained by the city's Parks and Recreation department. The city and WECRD would both like to work together to keep the park going as it has in the past.
There is concern though because the two taxing agencies are having to make sure that any type of agreement they enter into will not violate the recent injunction by Judge Jonathan Medema.
