Allen Lees

Allen Eugene Lees passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise.

He was born May 23, 1932 in Danner, Oregon to Mary Alice Helm and Eugene Douglas Lees. He lived there until 1943.

His family moved to Lucile, Idaho then to New Meadows, Idaho and Caldwell, Idaho where he graduated high school in 1950.

Al joined the service in 1951 where he spent most of his time in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1954.

He moved back to New Meadows and surrounding areas where he worked for Circle C Ranch, Thomas Logging and McNutt Construction. He was married then later divorced.

He moved to Mountain Home, Idaho in the 1980’s and worked for Simplot Soil Builders until his retirement.

His nephew Earl Ward was of great help to him whenever he needed him. He spent many happy times fishing, hunting, and holidays with his nieces and family members; Dan and Lynn Cook, Tammie and Ken Walters.

Allen is survived by his sister Edith Ward of Wendell, Idaho. Brother Jack (Lorene) Lees of White Bird, Idaho. Two sister in laws; Dianna Lees of Boise and Marilyn Lees of Nampa, Idaho and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Douglas Lees and David Lees.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at noon PST at the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home of Grangeville. Send condolences to the family to Blackmerfuneralhome.com.
