Long-term care seminar set

A free seminar is scheduled for Thursday, May 18 to help families prepare for long-term care of a loved one before a health care crisis.

Hosted by Treasure Valley Hospice, the program runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. that evening at War Memorial Hall in Mountain Home.

Home care costs for families can drain assets, and facility costs pile up when home care is not an option, officials with the local hospice agency said. Many families lost in the process of gathering assistance when illness hits.
