High school club proves it's not absurd to be a nerd

It's a place where students at Mountain Home High School can simply be themselves. Each day, they gather in a small classroom where they share a common passion for interests that others in today's society don't necessarily understand or appreciate.

Many of them are fascinated with science fiction. Others are drawn to the world of fantasy. Even more enjoy the complexities of Japanese animation.

It's a club known as NerDFest, where these individuals share their passion for movies, television programs, cult movie classics as well as card games, role playing games and video games in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
