Equipment failure linked to power outage

A major equipment failure triggered a power outage in Mountain Home around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to initial information from Idaho Power, the outage affected more than 4,000 customers with crews expected to restore power by 4 p.m. that day.
