Don't cut Medicare funding
Dear editor,
If your an Idaho senior who, like me, depends on Medicare Advantage for healthcare coverage, it's time to pay attention. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services recently proposed a very slight funding increase for Medicare Advantage, which sounds like good news.
But in past years, they've ultimately walked back their proposal, and if we don't make our voice heard, we risk cuts to this vital program. Funding cuts could mean reduced coverage or higher costs for the insured.
I've been on a Medicare Advantage plan for about a year in a half, and in that time, I've used it for my dental, vision, prescription and general medical coverage. It's been a lifeline, and it's critical that Congress continue to support it.
