Jacqueline Venable
Jacqueline Rosemary Venable, age 57, beloved wife, mother, sister and daughter, passed away at home in peace on Aug. 19, 2016, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Jackie was born in South Ockendon, Essex, England, on Dec. 12, 1958, the only daughter in the middle of four brothers. She came to the United States in 1980, residing in Las Vegas, Nev.
She met her soulmate, Brian Venable, there in 1990. They were married in 1991 and spent the next 25 years scarcely apart. They lived in Montana, Germany and South Dakota before moving to Mountain Home in 2001.
Jackie worked for many years at the Mountain Home Air Force Base Outdoor Adventure Program, where her irresistible charm and unmistakable accent endeared her to everyone she met. She loved camping with friends, was a talented artist and a creative crafter, but her true passion was reading.
She loved her three doggies with all her heart. She will be irreplaceable to family and friends who loved dearly and will be missed every day. We take comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace and without pain.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Mountain States Tumor Institute and Harrison's Hope Hospice for the care, compassion and love they gave during Jackie's fight.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Brian of Mountain Home; her son, Adam Stoneham of Utah; her brothers, Michale King of Nevada, and Steven King and Anthony Danks, both of England; and her mother, Rosemary Fell of Nevada.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers or cards, you consider making a gift in Jackie's name to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 480, Columbia, MD 21044, or Susan G Komen for the Cure, 1412 West Idaho St., Suite 200, Boise, ID 83702.
