Artistic transformation

Molly Carruthers applies a coat of paint to the back wall of the Mia Casa restaurant as she and Cindy Taverne begin work on an abstract floral design as the Community Canvas project officially began Saturday morning. Located in the alleyway between North Main and North 2nd East streets, the project will transform the back walls of selected businesses in the downtown area into individual pieces of art.
