City's values appreciated
Dear editor,
Having family move to Mountain Home in the past years, we come to visit them often and have been very impressed with your hometown values. Last year, we took part in your Halloween and had a blast. We returned this year also to enjoy the spirit of Halloween going door to door and seeing a great variety of costumes on the young and old who were enjoying the evening... I was dress as a wizard and was well received.
We also attended your Fourth of July celebration from the great vantage point on the golf course. The before the fire works entertainment was great.
We really enjoy the music played while the fire works display was on. All in all, this was the best Fourth July celebration we have attended in many years.
We have found several places we enjoy eating at, may it be just the two of us or the whole family. Prices are average, food is great, service is friendly and very good.
Mountain Home, Idaho, shows signs of a city with public officials, business and citizens working for a common goal -- a small town with personal values for the betterment of the citizens and welcoming all those visiting or traveling through.
A suggestion for the planners of Mountain Home: Attract and allow a budget motel chain in your area. This will attract more over all business and put money in more citizens' pockets. The big three motels need some competition.
Have a great end of year, and we hope you enjoy the upcoming holidays with family and friends. Have a grand new year.
