"It was a tough week -- the kids were out-skilled," said Mountain Home Tigers tennis coach Tamzy House. "They played their hearts out -- battled for every point. (They're) just not that far along in learning tennis compared to the rest of the District III schools.
"Most of those schools have middle school and junior high tennis programs as well as tennis pros in the area for lessons," the tennis coach added. "I can say the kids get the tennis bug here in Mountain Home. They love to play it, especially on their own."
Mountain Home has a busy week this week. They were home against Bishop Kelly on Tuesday to start the second time through their conference schedule.
On Friday and Saturday, they travel to Middleton for a two-day doubles tournament.
