Oscar Ogden
Craig "Oscar" Ogden left this life suddenly on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. He was a loving son, brother, father, coach and friend.
Oscar was born on Feb. 24, 1959, to Doug and Marie Ogden. He spent his first 15 years in either Blackfoot or Winnemucca before coming "home" to Glenns Ferry, where he lived out the rest of his life.
He made friends easily for the first time in his life and graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in 1977.
Oscar met his "dream girl" in 1978 and was married in June of 1979 to Julie Heath. They had twin boys in 1982. Though the marriage did not last, their friendship always did.
Oscar started working at Heath Electronics in 1982 as an engineer, continuing to work for that company through its transition to JW Electronics, where his best friend/ex-wife was happily his boss.
In his spare time, Oscar's favorite activities were reading, driving the back roads of Idaho and having meltdowns on the golf course with his boys.
Oscar also had a passion to coach. He coached winning teams in women's softball, little league baseball, and from 2003-2007 was the Glenns Ferry High School golf coach.
Oscar is survived by his twin boys, Richard and Dustin Ogden, his parents, Lila "Marie" Ellis and Doug Ogden, his siblings, Greg Ogden, Teresa Ogden and Stephanie Smith, and his "Precious" puppy Hank.
His brother, Kent Ogden, and his grandparents, Bop and Nanny Green, as well as A.B. and Helen Ogden, preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
In lieu of flowers, Oscar would rather have donations made to your local high school golf team.
