Gloria Ruberry
Gloria Willene Ruberry, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, age 73, at her home in Mountain Home.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, June 13, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
She moved to Mountain Home in 1958, her senior year, and graduated from Mountain Home High School.
She was involved in many clubs and also worked for Dr. Malone Koelsch, which she loved very much.
She was married to Max Collins and widowed very early on. The she went on to marry Tom Ruberry and they moved to Pocatello and owned a bar and café -- The Red Mill.
She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at 26 years of age, almost died, but soon after had a daughter, Pam.
Tom and Gloria divorced very nicely and she moved on to go to college at ISU.
She also enjoyed being involved in many organizations.
She loved writing letters and keeping in touch with many life-long friends.
She lived in many places.
She had a great sense of humor, loved telling jokes and always had a positive attitude.
Gloria is survived by: her daughter, Pam, and her husband, Troy Young; her sister, Louise, and her husband, Whity Robertson; her grandsons, Randy, Bret and Ronny Young, and two great-grandchildren, Brody and Tanzen Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilkin and Alice McNey, and many aunts and uncles.
She will be truly missed. A great thank you to all of her caregivers.
