Golf team places at Columbia event
The Mountain Home Tigers boys' golf team finished fourth at a conference golf tourney hosted by Columbia at Ridgecrest Golf Course in Nampa.
Middleton won the event, shooting a 166 team total over the nine holes. Columbia was second, shooting a 183, a stroke better than Emmett. Mountain Home came in with a 190 total and Caldwell finished with a 192.
Jake Egusquiza led Mountain Home's golfers, shooting a 41, which was fifth. Andrew Curtis was a stroke back at 44, which tied him for sixth. Marcus Egusquiza carded a 47, which tied him for 11th. Jack Brown rounded out the Mountain Home scoring with a 58.
Mountain Home had two golfers participate in the girls' tournament. Willow Freer shot a 56, which tied her for ninth. Stephanie Marsh came in with a 59 score.
Middleton and Columbia were the only two schools that had complete teams, with Middleton shooting a 190 team score and Columbia finishing with a 204.
Mountain Home went to the Canyon Ridge Invitational in Twin Falls Tuesday and goes to a conference tourney today, April 23, in Nampa.
