Act of kindness thanked
Dear editor:
I would like to thank someone with a kind heart.
I took my lady friend to lunch Friday, March 28, for her 89th birthday at AJ's. She loves to go to the salad bar. I do take her to the senior center Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week for lunch to get her out.
Anyway, when we had finished eating, the waitress brought her a big cookie with a scoop of ice cream in the middle and whipped cream dobs all around the plate and sang happy birthday.
Well, there was a gentleman and his grandson sitting in the booth behind her, and when they left he stopped to wish her a happy birthday, which I thought was very nice of him.
When the waitress came back from taking his money, she came by and said, "by the way, your ticket is paid for," and she kept on walking.
My mouth dropped open, I and said, "What?" So I called her back, and she said the man sitting behind her paid your ticket.
We were so shocked, so I am writing this to say "you know who you are, and we want to say thank you so much." What a kind thing to do, and God bless you.
